This Case number 7 of the X-foils Podcast we sit down with Wren Dougherty.
What can we say about Wren! She Chose a perfect balance between Puerto Rico in the Winter and The Gorge in the Summer time to stay on foil as much as possible. Focusing on wingfoil racing, and mastering the art of Downwind foiling this summer.
You can find Wren at the reef floating on her wingfoil gear taking videos of the community, with a smile and extra stoked to just be in the water!
Her mentors and foil figures are all Masters on a foil and choose speed as their best friend. Johnny Heineken, Ken Adgate, Kiko Dalmau, Nils Stolzlechner and many more foilers helps Wren along the way get to the speeds she is at now. Whether it was getting her boards shaped on the edge of progression or hooking it up with Windex'ed Mikes lab foils, there is lots of amazing watermen/women on her path. There is no doubt she puts in more time than most, and thats the difference.
The X-Foils will come out every Tuesday with a new guest to build and get to know this community we live and session with. Something any foiler or water enthusiast can relate to and compare journeys!

Dylan Shewfelt Co-founder of Kite Puerto Rico and N1 Water sports with over 15 years of being in the watersports world. Talking about personal experiences, all foil disciplines and watersports in Puerto Rico. This will consist of diving in and chatting to puerto rico residents that live and breath foiling. Dylan wants to know how they got there, what gear took them on their journey and why they think about foiling 100x a day!
