Football (Soccer) poses a tremendous challenge to coaches because it is a game of constant motion where instant decisions have to be made in ever-changing situations. Therefore, the coaching system has to be carefully structured to create a learning environment that enables all players to reach their full potential. This book makes the case that small-sided games, which promote whole brain thinking, are the best way to achieve this. Young players must be given the freedom to play, experiment, take risks, improvise and make mistakes.
