Although we cannot defeat the laws of physiology and physics, technology in the future might allow us to trick them. We could be headed into a world where functional robotic machines can be enhanced by virtual envelopes which will give us an experience of reality which is not limited by the barriers of matter. This is where the most exciting science fiction will soon lead us.
