Holding your personal data hostage
CS is calling it asking for help. What they do is they don’t let you access your account anymore. You have bo control about your profile settings and bot even can delete it by yourself, unless... unless you PAY!
That’s their understanding of help and believing in something greater than money, possessions and status.

Ich benutze die App seit einiger Zeit um meinen Italientrip im August zu planen. Ich reise alleine und als Frau möchte ich auch nicht unbedingt alleine bei einem fremden Mann übernachten. Leider bekomme ich ausschließlich Nachrichten von Männlichen Couchsurfern, sehr aufdringlich und Penetrant. Ich werde diese App dementsprechend wieder Installieren - da fühlt man sich nämlich schon vor dem Urlaub unwohl.
Und ich bin bei Gott eine Männerhasserin oder Hardcore Feministin.

The app is mostly good, but I have currently finding my first host, despite of my profile being verified.
I hope that in the future the app will get some solution for this Problem, bc now I can’t use it.

Not the best but usable
The app seems like it was made 7 years ago and not updated to reflect current advances in code and appearance. Look at other social media apps and copy some ideas.....the site doesn't flow and sometimes seemed like its not even optimized for ,multi platforms. Its usable as i stated but doesnt really spark a feeling of "nice app".
Take your website functionality and appearance and mirror it with more style and common sense menu layout.
Hard to navigate ....and i am an IT type...

It all started as a free community, then...
... Just recently they changed it and you have to pay to use it. I started my project to praise couchsurfing for meeting other travelers and sharing... Now in the middle of my journey on the road they change the terms and you need to pay. What about the people from poor countries. They can't travel anymore because cs now also wants their money?
Right now you have to pay a price for the registration, later they will charge monthly...
What happened with the spirit? Is now everybody switching to capitalism?
