AnkiMobile is a mobile companion to Anki, a powerful, intelligent flashcard program that is free, multi-platform, and open-source. Sales of this app support the development of both the computer and mobile version, which is why the app is priced as a computer application.
AnkiMobile was written by the lead developer of Anki and AnkiWeb, and it has been around since 2010. Beware other apps using "Anki" in their name that have sprung up recently - they are not compatible with the rest of the Anki ecosystem, and they offer far fewer features.
Some of AnkiMobile's features include:
- A free cloud synchronization service that lets you keep your card content synchronized across multiple mobile and computer devices. This makes it easy to add content on a computer and then study it on your mobile, easily keep your study progress current between an iPhone and iPad, and so on.
- The same proven scheduling algorithm that the computer version of Anki uses, which reminds you of material as you're about to forget it.
- A flexible interface designed for smooth and efficient study. You can set up AnkiMobile to perform different actions when you tap or swipe on various parts of the screen, and control which actions appear on the tool buttons.
- Comprehensive graphs and statistics about your studies.
- Support for large card decks - even 100,000+ cards.
- If your cards use images or audio clips, the media is stored on your device, so you can study without an internet connection.
- A powerful search facility that allows you to find cards that match criteria such as 'tagged high priority, answered in the last ten days and not containing the following words', and automatically place them into a deck to study.
- Support for displaying mathematical equations with MathJax, and rendering LaTeX created with the computer version.
- Support for adding images drawn with the Apple Pencil to your cards.
Please note that AnkiMobile is currently intended as a companion to the computer version of Anki, rather than a complete replacement for it. While AnkiMobile is able to display and schedule your cards in the same way the computer version does, certain changes like modifying note types need to be done with the computer software. Add-ons are not supported, so while you can study image occlusion cards created with the computer version, they can not be created within AnkiMobile. For this reason, please start with the computer version of Anki before you think about buying this app.
The cloud synchronization service is optional, and data can also be imported/exported from the app via a USB cable or AirDrop.
Like all apps, AnkiMobile can be purchased once and then used on multiple devices in a household using the same Apple ID. Family sharing is also supported (apart from in India). For information on bulk discounts for educational institutions, please see Apple's Volume Purchase Program.

Ich benutze Anki bestimmt schon ein Jahr und bin sehr zufrieden. Das Geld ist auf jeden Fall gut angelegt.
Leider kann ich seit dem letzten Update bestimmte Kartentypen (Lückentext) nicht mehr wiederholen, da diese als fehlerhaft angezeigt werden. Ich habe schon alles versucht, leider funktioniert dieser Kartentyp bei mir gar nicht mehr.
Bitte um Korrektur.

Die App-Badge Notification zeigt immer wieder offene Karten an, obwohl es keine gibt. Ist dann unschön wenn man ständig den Indicator vor sich hat.

While i understand that products cost something, 30 eur is very much a stretch for a product that does not feature basic necessities, despite the pc version having it. I mean mass import/csv import??? seriously? how do you expect people migrating their existing database from other competitors if you do not even allow them to do so. I and many other colleagues ditched their pc in college as it was not necessary in this degree. However a feature this simply is massively lacking from this app. You already feature the import from itunes, why not csv.. It ain’t too far off.
Please please please implement this feature, or you will continue to lose potential and existing customers

I have been using it for the last two months on the desktop for free, if you are new to Anki you should also start with the desktop version to see if the flashcards-spaced-repetition-system works for you, it doesn't work for everyone.
I personally am very happy, Anki fits me pretty well, I highly recommend it. For me, the 30€ are worth it multiple times, since the durable knowledge you are able to accumulate in pretty much every category is priceless.

Grundsätzlich liebe ich Anki ABER: 25 Euro für eine App zu bezahlen, bei der die Möglichkeiten verschiedene Kartentypen zu erstellen ist einfach nur dreist. Auch die für Anki typischen addons wie zB die heatmap können nicht in der mobilen Version verwendet werden. Ebenso wenig wie Image Conclusion - was gerade bei mir in Pharmazie aber sehr wichtig ist. Alles in allem ist diese App ihr Geld überhaupt nicht wert! Lieber die kostenlose Web Version nutzen und damit Geld sparen

App ist wirklich top, hilft mir sehr beim Lernen.
Jedoch empfinde ich es als störend, dass die gelernten Karten vom PC sich nicht mit denen auf dem Handy synchronisieren, also muss man alles doppelt machen, um es auf den selben Stand zu bringen, was für 25€ schon drin sein könnte.

In short: Best 30$ ever invested for language learning purposes!
Didn’t buy the app because I wasn’t willing to pay 30$ for a while .. BIG MISTAKE! The app is worth more than its price. Sync works perfectly among iPhone, iPad and Windows PC. Pre made Flashcards for a ton of languages with pictures and audio and can simply be edited. The app is kept simple and isn’t overdoing it with fancy wanna be animations or whatever.

Aber mein Gott was für ein Schrott. Nichts ist erklärlich, man muss sich ein ganzes Buch durchlesen um diese App benutzen zu können. Und der Preis ist auch absolut unerklärlich. Da lohnt es sich mehr das Programm im browser zu benutzen und sich damit zu plagen als jetzt Unsummen zu zahlen und trotzdem keine Ahnung zu haben wie es funktioniert. Danke für nichts...

apostrophe always recognized as incorrect

Everytime there is an apostrophe in one of my french words and I write the apostrophe correctly, Anki marks the apostrophe as incorrect and corrects it as apostrophe which is really annoying. This happens only in the app the desktop version works great.

I am a big fan of Anki on the Mac and the PC, which are truly excellent, so I didn't think twice about buying this. Bad idea! This is the most unpolished and amateurish iOS app I have ever bought, and one of the most expensive ones as well. The main UI doesn't look iPad-ish at all (just a scaled up version of the iPhone version), the settings menus are abysmal (it took me half an hour to figure out how to turn off the annoying sync sound -- btw: I have never seen a non-game that has sound on by default). You need sync to reasonably work with this program, since adding and editing cards is really cumbersome on the app (and the help screen is so out of date that it explicitly says that the latter functionality doesn't exist). However, some cards weren't synced properly (deleted cards were not removed despite several attempts).
I know that it can be hard to find a sustainable business model for an open source application, but quickly hacking together a low quality iOS app and exploiting the users who have come to trust the name by charging a price that is in no way related to the quality of the product… FAIL

The SRS for serious language learners

Anki definitely is the best SRS flash card app u can get. I've been using the desktop version for over a year to memorise 生词 and 汉字 and basically got an iPhone just to be able keep studying while I'm out, on the subway, waiting for the bus, etc. The interface is simple and efficient, exactly the way it should be if u spend more than an hour using this app every single day. The price tag might seem steep but keep in mind that you are supporting the free and open-source desktop version with that money a well.
Long story short, if u use desktop Anki already then mobile Anki is simply a must.

20 Euro schrecken auf den 1. Blick ab, jedoch ist diese App mehr als nur sein Geld wert. Top App - solide gemacht, wird kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt und hat mich in 3 Sprachen (Englisch, Thai (asiatische Schriftzeichen sind kein Problem), Französisch) extrem viel weitergebracht! Außerdem ist die Desktop Version und die Webbrowswer Applikation völlig kostenlos (Synchronisierung ist einfach & zuverlässig).
Bei einer alten Version hat jemand die Jailbreak Varianten erwähnt. Dazu würde ich gerne sagen, dass sowohl iAnki als auch AnkiMini nicht vergleichbar sind mit AnkiMobile, da dort einfach sehr viele Funktionen nicht vorhanden sind. Bitte bei dem Preis auch bedenken, wie lange und oft man diese App verwenden wird. Ich verwende AnkiMobile täglich seit einigen Monaten und bin äußerst zufrieden.
Version 1.6 bringt sehr nützliche features hinzu wie zb: Direkt mit dem iPhone Sounds & Bilder aufzunehmen und in die Karten integrieren.
Kleine Anmerkung zu dem 1 Punkte Review:
Kompliziert, ja - wenn man alles einstelln will, was man aber nicht machen muss. Wenn man Angst von der Komplexität hat, könnte man zuerst Ankimini oder iAnki ausprobieren - oder einfach die Gratis Desktop Version.
Steuerung Null - Kompliziert und Steuerung Null schließen sich logisch aus, abgesehen davon, gibt es wohl kaum ein Programm, bei dem man mehr einstellen kann als bei Anki, das Interface ist auch gut gelungen.
Übertragung von Kartenstapeln: Jeder der Anki ein bisschen kennt, weiß dass dies die größte Stärkste von Anki ist. Mac - iPhone - iPad - PC - mehrere Laptops und auch nur die Online Version werden optimal und schnell synchronisiert.
Dem Author des 1 Punkte Reviews wurde Hilfe von dem Author von Anki persönlich angeboten, welche jedoch abgelehnt wurde.
Wer ein solides SRS Vokabelprogramm haben möchte, sollte sich von diesem Review nicht abschrecken lassen. Wer unsicher ist - die Desktop Variante für ein paar Tage ausprobieren (evtl einfach eines von vielen vorhandenen Decks runterladen).

Hätte dieses Program 1 oder 2 Euro gekostet, hätte ich mir keine Mühe gemacht diese Rezension zu schreiben. Da ich es aber um 20 Euro erworben habe, werde hier die Wahrheit sagen. Das ist EINE FRECHHEIT!
So schlecht gelungenes Program hatte ich bis jetzt weder auf meinem Ipad noch auf meinem Iphone. Nichts funktioniert, unnötig kompliziert, Steuerung Null, Uebertragung von Dateien unter jeder Kritik, eine Karteistappel funktioniert auf dem Desktop- Computer, interessanterweise nicht auf dem Ipad, und vieles mehr...
