Finally! a rock album that's relevant!

It's hard to believe that an album like this hasn't been released earlier. Considering American pop culture has been strangely silent on the obviously criminal war on Iraq, it's somehow disturbing that it has taken until 2006 before the first real protest album against this event makes it's way into the mainstream.
With L.W.W, Neil delivers a clear, cutting and direct exposure of the nature of deceit the current US government has blackmailed the world into tolerating in its 'War on Terrorism'. Perfectly titled, L.W.W. is a statement that is relevant to everyone who feels frustrated by so called rock bands who have forgotten what rock is all about, taking a stand, and providing a voice for people's feelings and thoughts. There is nothing new or different musically in this recording, but I felt strangely more energised from hearing it, because this guy MEANS IT, and you can HEAR IT in the music.
For that it kicks my ass harder than Slayer.
Although the lyrical content is predictable and at times cheesy, What Neil is saying isn't complicated, It's embarrassingly simple and powerful because it rings true with every line. It's a rushed sounding recording, apparently, done in one day (!), but that edginess gives it some grit and appropriate character. It's refreshing to hear someone finally telling it like it is, even if it is an old hippy.
